Ministries at Living Word
Our "covenant keepers" ministry is a fellowship
that provides ministry to married couples. Pastor
and Lady Haygood personally oversee this vibrant and
effective marriage building ministry. Couples from
all ethnic, economic and even religious experiences
come to share in these intense group sessions. Every
marriage benefits greatly as we pray together, learn
together, laugh together, cry together, hurt
together, and heal together.
Covenant Keepers sponsors an annual marriage
retreat. The "bringing the heat" marriage retreat is
a two day (weekend) retreat that revives the passion
and romance, and restores the joy of marriage.
Matt 19:4-6 "Haven't you read," he replied,
"that at the beginning the Creator 'made them
male and female,' and said, 'For this
reason a man will leave his father and mother and be
united to his wife, and the two will become one
flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one.
Therefore what God has joined together, let man not

Saved Overcoming Singles
(S.O.S.)
The Lord has given us
a divine mandate and spiritual strategy to minister
to and strengthen those who are "not married". We
endeavor to bring every unmarried person to a place
of true singleness. Dr. Miles Monroe defines a
single individual as "one who is separate, complete,
and whole." Through direct teaching, monthly
fellowships, group activities and an amazing web of
support, we are witnessing saved singles, overcoming
the issues, emptiness, and temptations that singles
often experience.
1 Cor 7:32-34
I would like you to be free from concern. An
unmarried man is concerned about the Lord's
affairs-- how he can please the Lord. 33 But a
married man is concerned about the affairs of this
world-- how he can please his wife-- 34 and his
interests are divided. An unmarried woman or virgin
is concerned about the Lord's affairs: Her aim is to
be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But
a married woman is concerned about the affairs of
this world-- how she can please her husband. (NIV)
IMPACT is the
training ground for tomorrows leaders. God is
raising up an army, and basic training starts here!
IMPACTis our ministry to teenagers (13-18).
Our meetings are intense, yet fun; serious, yet
silly. We promote freedom of expression through
various forms of praise and worship, including rap
(not hip-hop), poetry, dance, theatre and any other
spiritually acceptable means to reach this
generation. We envision spirit filled, spirit led,
spirit powered teens who evangelize their schools,
recreation centers, gangs, and communities. We
are destined to have an IMPACT on this generation!

Kids In Christ's Kare (AKA K.I.C.K)
Our children's ministry serves the spiritual (and not
so spiritual) needs of those between the ages of
four (4) and twelve (12). We teach children simple
bible truths that are designed to promote character
in our children. We also believe that it is just as
important to see our children filled with the spirit
and learn to walk in the spirit as young people.
Remember, at twelve Jesus confounded the doctors! We
want to produce twelve year olds who are about the
Father's business.
Our children's ministry serves children during our Sunday
morning celebration, and other times as scheduled.

MTS (Ministry Training School)
The LWC-MTS (Ministry Training School) was
inspired by God to give a practical means by which
we could train laborers and future leaders in LWC
and the Body of Christ.
MTS is a hands on, experience based, spirit driven, word
centered training class. We are dedicated to
producing courageous Christians, sincere disciples,
and true spiritual sons and daughters.
We cover subjects such as introduction to apologetics,
hermeneutics, public prayer, pulpit etiquette,
sermon preparation and much, much, more.

Titus 1:7-9
- Since an
overseer is entrusted with God's work, he must be
blameless-- not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not
given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing
dishonest gain. 8 Rather he must be hospitable, one
who loves what is good, who is self-controlled,
upright, holy and disciplined. 9 He must hold firmly
to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so
that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and

Intercession
is the spiritual bedrock of any corporate encounter
with God. The Lord has graced a peculiar group of
individuals to labor in the ministry of
intercession. This "spiritual special forces" group
stands in the gap through fervent effectual prayer,
specifically for the leadership and vision of LWC.
They work hand in hand with the (5 fold) leadership
team at LWC keeping our corporate petitions before
the throne of God. Our intercessors are rarely seen
praying publicly as they have discovered a fine line
between intercession and intervention.

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it,
do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye
might be filled with the knowledge of his will in
all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all
pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and

Our ministry resource center is the hub for all things that
feed the soul. In the center you will discover
hundreds of bible teachings on audio cassette,
compact disc, and video tape.
We have added a new area to our Ministry Resource Center. We
now offer "Video Rental". We have a number of videos
available for your enrichment. Speakers include, T.D.
Jakes, Jaunita Bynum, Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar,
Kenneth Copeland and many more.
Psalms of Solomon cafe is our "semi-open" mic night. Poets,
singers, mimes and others come to the cafe to
express their gift to the Lord and share good food
and fellowship.

IMPACT is currently being aired on Fox 28 and ABC
6.2
Men of all ages and backgrounds come
together to learn the Word, share their testimonies,
and pray together. Did I mention get "free"
haircuts!
Ministries in the Making
The following is an
abbreviated list of some of the ministries that we
are in the process of birthing. Please feel free to
lend your prayer and/or financial support.

Nehemiah Network
-
A full service employment agency (temporary to permanent)
that will provide training, resume preparation,
interview technique classes, business interview
attire, hair, nails & make-up. This network is
designed to repair the breach and limit the gulf
between the haves and the have nots.

Joseph's Closet
-
A subsidiary of Nehemiah Network that provides business
professional clothing (new or gently used) for
those making the transition from unemployment to
the workforce.

Manna House
(food pantry) -
We currently have a small food pantry, but it is not nearly
large enough to feed the starving nations. We
need a separate facility with a minimum of 5,000
square feet of storage. We desire to extend the
manna house activities beyond our community and
city unto the starving souls in the so-called
third world nations.

Haven House(s) - Haven Houses are temporary
transitional housing facilities for individuals
or families between blessings. We will provide a
safe serene environment for those making the
transition from homelessness to having their
own. Haven House(s) work cooperatively with
Joseph's Closet, Manna House, and The Nehemiah
Network to restore our citizens to complete
social stability and spiritual wholeness.
